On June 2nd, Why Empire and newly-launched clothing brand Wu & Y are hosting ARTGASM at House of Yes from 6-10pm. This eclectic event at the notorious Brooklyn venue, House of Yes, features a wide array of creative talent and activities. Two NYC local DJs, Jethro and Why Empire's own Jimmy Lit, are providing nu disco tunes for the evening. The event features visual art displays curated by Why Empire with pieces courtesy of Bibi Tran, Natalie Bradt, and Sabrina Gushchina. The event also features exciting performance art such as wall dancers, contortionists, poetry whores, indian dancers, and a fashion show. Some of the activities included are: tarot readings, water gun painting, deep house yoga, coloring books, and legos.
The event is in honor of Wu & Y's launch on Kickstarter. Wu & Y is is an activewear company which creates psychedelic, bohemian, and retro-inspired athletic shorts with visuals and patterning sourced from artists across the globe. Beyond the bright colors of the artistic designs, the shorts feature stabilized zip pockets and a secret hidden waistband pocket. They're ideal for concerts, festivals, yoga, working out, hiking, and adventures where you still want to express your creativity. Check out their launch on Kickstarter on May 24th.
