We were super excited to help host the January 29th "Future Showcase & Party" with ConsenSys and Futurism. It was a unique event that featured live-music, film, fashion, and intellectual exchange! The night began at 9pm with an open bar (courtesy of ConsenSys) as creative heads poured into the Brooklyn speakeasy pretending to be a venue for the night. The night's art opened with the film Braid, directed by Mitzi Peirone and then transitioned into music with a DJ set courtesy of Why Empire's own Nighthouse. From there, guests delved into live music performances from NY-based rapper Marlon Craft and soulful Chicagoan, Mari. The live-performances were rounded out by Jamaican production duo, RVPii, who made their NYC debut, much to the crowd's delight. Lastly, Dreamers Delight (off of Pretty Lights' Label) dropped by to close out the night after their headlining set at Brooklyn Bowl.
The event was a great time and successfully mixed various creative cultures which is always one of the top goals for Why Empire events. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did! (And if you missed out, you'll just have to catch the next one!
Like Why Empire to stay up to date on all of our upcoming events and collabs!
