THE HUMAN CONNECTION PROJECT and WHY EMPIRE host “PARAKLETOS” at Ludlow Studios
PARAKLETOS is focused on connecting unlike
individuals through an honest look at mental health.
On November 3rd, The Human Connection Project and Why Empire hosted “PARAKLETOS”, a creative endeavor to shed light on many of the unseen struggles of mental illness. The event featured work by visual artist Stephanie Logan Segel, who created hyper-realistic and abstract portraits of 3 subjects as well as 200 hand-sewn hats featuring her original work. “PARAKLETOS” also featured a live spoken-word performance by NYC artist and rapper TARO, a curated cocktail bar featuring signature drinks by Bombay Sapphire Gin and Beijing style bites from Vanessa's Dumpling House. Mental health remains a taboo subject in our society, and, together, The Human Connection Project and Why Empire aim to close the divide between acknowledgement and neglect for those suffering from mental illness. The FREE event was held at Ludlow Studios on November 3rd from 6-9:30 P.M, with 100% of the proceeds benefitting The Human Connection Project.
